Whisper Notes runs completely offline for privacy. Once you download it, the app never connects to the internet. Free trials require in-app purchases, which need internet—the opposite of what we're built for. But if you're not satisfied after purchasing, just tap Settings → Request Refund.

Privacy. We don't upload your recordings to any cloud service, so we can't offer AI summaries. That's the tradeoff—your audio stays 100% private. You can always copy transcripts and summarize them yourself with ChatGPT or Claude if you want.

It depends on your device. iPhone 15 is fast. iPhone 11 or older? The GPU is slower, so transcription takes longer. Everything runs on your device, not in the cloud, so older hardware means slower processing.

iOS limitation. Whisper Notes needs GPU access to transcribe, and Apple doesn't let apps use the GPU in the background. If you switch apps mid-transcription, just come back and tap 'Re-transcribe.'
